Happy Tail for Louie

Happy Tail for Louie

After the loss of our 6-year old Cane Corso, we wanted to get another dog mostly so that our puggle, Lucy, would have someone to run and play with, not to mention help any separation anxiety from the loss of our other dog.

We didn’t have a good experience when we purchased the puggle, Lucy, from a local pet store in the FM area so we looked into rescue dogs. I had gone to PetSmart a few times to see all of the dogs available and wanted them all as I love dogs, but eventually we decided on ‘Pugsley’ who we have since renamed Louie, as in King Louie. Louie is, from what we can figure out, part chihuahua, pug, jack russel and who knows what else……..lol

When we brought Louie home the first day, we put him in the backyard with our puggle, they sniffed each other for like 2 seconds and took off running around the yard together, like they had been playing together for years. Instant chemistry.

Louie has adjusted well in his forever home in the last year since we received him. He enjoys patrolling his big backyard, barking at the neighbors, running around, going for walks to the park and playing with his sister. He has also tackled the box of rawhides and toys we’ve accumulated over the years and is always finding something new.

We’ve had very little to no problems at all with Louie and are happy we have him and wish we had the means to give all of the needy dogs a forever home. Everyone I hear talking about getting a dog, I recommend going to 4 Luv or at least another rescue place instead of pet stores.

Thank you……. 🙂
