Rescue Groups Take 129 Dogs From North Dakota Puppy Mill Breeding Farm! Foster Homes are Needed!

Update: On October 16th, 4 Luv of Dog Rescue will be accepting 10 of these dogs into our rescue program. As additional foster homes become available, we may be accepting more dogs.

On Saturday, October 9, staff and volunteers from the Central Dakota Humane Society(CDHS), of Mandan, and Prairie Paws Rescue, of Jamestown, rescued 129 dogs and puppies from a dog breeding farm in southwestern North Dakota. The dogs and puppies were not in good condition. They did not have adequate food and water and they were being housed in filthy, crowded conditions. Sadly, due to lack of resources, 40-60 dogs have yet to be rescued from this situation.

The CDHS and Prairie Paws Rescue are reaching out to other area rescue organizations for help with the care of the dogs and puppies. 4 Luv of Dog Rescue wants to help but we need foster homes willing to care for the dogs. If want to help, and are not already a foster home for our organization, please fill out a foster home application.

See the Central Dakota Humane Society’s web site for more information.
