Foster Home Feedback
* Tamarin needs a home with No other pets, Older considerate children, and must have a fence.
6/22/2020: Tamarin has been in a new foster home for about two weeks now and she has been an amazing houseguest. She immediately settled into my smaller apartment, and I have had no issues with chewing on anything but a bone and no potty accidents. She is very very relaxed in the home. I haven't even thought about kenneling her while I am out.
Tamarin does really well on walks, she can get a little amped up to chase squirrels and rabbits but she recalls easily, usually, she won't even notice them because she is busy sniffing around. I have had zero issues with her reacting to other dogs in public, whether on the leash or in the backyard, whether the other dog barks at her or not. She just does not want to share her space with them.
If you are looking for snuggly little Pittie look no further than Tamarin, while she loves playing in the yard, going for walks, and bike rides, I am certain she loves snuggling on the couch even more. Somebody, please adopt this sweetheart; she deserves HER OWN HOME.
5/21/2020: It’s time for Tamarin talk! So many updates and good things to share. This lovable girl needs her forever home, she has come so far these last two months. She is awesome at walking on her leash after a few reminders, and she absolutely loves to trot/run next to a bicycle! Tamarin no longer guards her toys or her space, which is a huge accomplishment for her. She does like to play tug and can be a little over-excited when she does, but she wants to play all the time!
Tamarin really just wants to sit in your lap and cuddle, all day long! Just a reminder if you are thinking of adopting her, she is completely house trained, no kennel needed ever! She sleeps on her own unless you want a cuddle bug in your bed!
Tamarin is getting less reactive around other dogs. She doesn’t bark when we’re out walking or riding a bike when she sees another dog! So, she is making great accomplishments and will continue to do so with the proper training, positive interactions, and lots and lots of love!
Please put your app in if you’re interested and would like to meet this little lady! She really is wonderful and will fill your heart and your home with so much love!
4/26/2020: Tamarin is such a human lover! She will stay outside all day and lay in the sun! She also loves to play with sticks, helps with yard work, and gets very excited by the bubble machine!
She is such a great dog. Tamarin listens and has such great manners at home. She really wants to cuddle and have someone love on her 24/7. She is still leash training, but it’s getting a little better day by day. Her tugging is exhausting but she is treat-motivated to make her human happy.
Tamarin cannot be around other animals at all. She has to be the only animal at all times. But please keep in mind, even though she doesn’t like other animals doesn’t mean she isn’t great with older considerate kids. In fact, she plays very gently with our 10-year-old son. Tamarin understands when I tell her "gentle" and give her treats with my fingers and not have my whole hand open.
Please consider this little princess! She is such a lover and really just wants to have her very own forever home.
4/7/2020: Tamarin has been in our home for two weeks. She has gotten very comfortable in her new space! She is a loving, 60 lb. lap dog who thinks she's only 8 lbs.
Tamarin is not kenneled, has never had an accident, and sleeps all night on her own, except when she cuddles up with our 10-year-old son, whom she loves a lot! Tamarin is still learning to walk with a leash. She no longer bites at it when walking, but is still all over the place and does tug. She is very treat-motivated and knows how to sit, shake, high five, stay(mostly), and down. She's an incredibly smart dog and has a huge heart.
Tamarin is a little guarded with her toys yet, but only when they are on her bed. If the toys are anywhere else in the house, be prepared to play, because she loves to play a lot!
Tamarin needs a forever home with no other pets. She should also be in a home with older considerate children. She absolutely loves her people and truly just wants to give love. Tamarin has the sweetest eyes and smiles when she plays.
She enjoys laying on the couch and watching a movie with you. Tamarin will follow you to the bathroom and will keep you company all day if you're working from home. If you work out of the house, Tamarin will most likely sleep most of the day, just make sure she has plenty of toys to chew on while you're gone! Give this girl a chance, you won't regret the undeniable love Tamarin has to give!
