Foster Home Feedback
3/18/2022 Foster Feedback: While Lousee isn't permanently with me, I do spend many days of the week with her. She seems to be coming around with some of her previously noted tendencies. She is her same cuddly/snuggly self and loves to lay in bed and just lounge. I work 8.5-hour shifts and she does GREAT at home free roaming while I am gone. She loves walks and fetch and is tennis/rubber ball OBSESSED! She also loves cotton stuffed toys but enjoys demolishing them in her free time. She has transitioned to half soft food/half kibble and loves her occasional cheese stick. She still shows some signs of anxiety with initial fear of men and resource guarding with other dogs but since starting a new medication, appears to be doing much better! She is a phenomenal passenger in the car and loves to let her head hang out of the window. She loves HARD and will bond very quickly with any human who will take a chance on her!
5/18/2022 Volunteer Feedback: Lousee and I have become great friends during her time with us. She will take her time warming up to you. She needs a home with a patient, dedicated human or family who will give her the effort she so deserves. Insider Tip: The way to her heart is paved with meat and string cheese. Once she trusts you and loves you, she LOVES you. She is alert and will return the sense of safety she's given. Her very favorite activity is fetch - she will play until she can play no more. She's also content to occupy herself with a bone or toy.
3/5/2022: Lousee is a very sweet and active girl! She loves to play fetch (in a fenced yard) and loves walks/runs! I have never had her off leash. She prefers soft foods, but we are working on kibbles! She likes milk bones and occasionally, she will keep herself busy with a raw hide. Lousee sleeps and cuddles in bed with me every night! She has been around a handful of other dogs (large and small), and she loves to play! She occasionally requires a 'timeout' in her crate to settle down. She can also get territorial over food and/or toys. She would be best in a home with another dog. She does take medication daily which I do think she should continue throughout her adoption transition. It can be reevaluated at a later time.
2/21/2022 Volunteer Feedback: Hi everyone. This is sweet Lousee. I have had the absolute pleasure of hanging out with Lousee a bunch, so I have been able to see her blossom.
She starts out a bit scared. A bit terrified, but in this day and age, who doesn't have a little bit of anxiety.
Once she feels comfortable, you will see a completely different side of her. A fun side. She loves to give out all the kisses. Chasing her tail is also a must. Once she is comfortable, she is treat motivated. She also loves a good bone to chew on in her free time.
Lousee will probably need a few days to decompress in your home before she feels comfortable and safe. Peanut butter and deli meat are quick and easy ways to win over her heart.
Be sure to bring this sweet love bug home with you!
