* Pogo has been diagnosed with Bridging Spondylosis in his lower back. This is commonly thought of as arthritis of the spine. Because of this Pogo will need to be kept on a joint supplement and will likely need pain management with medication, the medication will cost about $92.00 per month.
8/2/2020: Pogo is feeling so much better! He is pretty much fully healed and back to his normal self. He is such a happy, loving dog and loves to cuddle with us. Pogo loves to be around his humans at all times. He’s also a big fan of cuddling even though he is about 70 pounds! He is still very chill inside. When Pogo is outside, he will run around our backyard and look for rabbits for a couple of minutes, but then just sits by whoever is out there with him. We love having him!
7/24/2020: We’ve had Pogo for almost 2 weeks now, and he is still such a good boy. He got neutered last week and had some teeth removed yesterday, and he has been a champ. He has been sleeping/chilling out most of the time. He seems to be in pain when going around the house and walking up/down stairs. Once we get him outside and on a walk, he does really well and enjoys it. Pogo hasn’t barked at all and gets along with our dog and cat very well. He seems uninterested in interacting with them and tends to stick with getting attention from the humans around him instead. Pogo would not be a good fit if you are looking for a play buddy for your current dog. Overall, he’s still such a calm boy. He loves sitting with us on the couch and in our bed. Anyone would be lucky to have him!
7/14/2020: Pogo has been with us for about 48 hours, and we love him! He is a big boy, but he thinks he is a lap dog. He loves any and all attention and has stayed right by my side. Pogo does pretty well on walks. We haven't seen any issues with our family dog. He hasn't shown interest in playing with her, but he will smell her occasionally. He is still a little confused about our cat. Pogo usually walks right by her, but at times, will cautiously walk up to her and see what she's all about. He doesn't seem interested in toys yet but loves treats/food. He pulls a little and gets fired up when he sees a squirrel or a rabbit. Pogo is usually a super calm boy who loves to take naps and just chill!
