10/16/2020: Timon is a quirky little man. He has been living with us for 2 weeks now. He LOVES our dog and being outside playing. He really needs a dog buddy all the time. They spend most of the day playing and he shares toys and food fine.
Timon needs work on his manners and can be mouthy and a little over-excited when he finally decides he wants people’s attention. Because of this, I don’t think he would do well in a home with small kids. He is housebroken and sleeps on the floor in our bedroom at night. We aren’t gone much but when we do leave the house, we kennel the dogs. Timon needs to be kenneled where he can see another dog as kenneling is stressful for him. We are up to about 3 hours of him being kenneled without having an accident in the kennel.
Timon would be a great 2nd dog to an understanding home willing to give this quirky little man a chance.
9/21/2020: I’ve had Timon for a couple of weeks now and it’s been fun getting to see his personality come out. Timon is showing he does really follow the guidance from the two other dogs in our home. Timon can be shy with new people, especially men. He doesn’t bark or anything at new people. He will just not approach some people unless he sees the resident dogs greeting them then he seems to feel more comfortable.
Timon has lots of energy and is super playful with other dogs. Timon is working on learning manners and seems eager to please and very food motivated. He does bark some in the kennel but does much better if he has been properly exercised.
9/10/2020: I’ve only had Timon a couple days and so far he’s settling in nicely. He gets along with my two dogs and cat. He was just neutered so he did do some marking but seems to be getting better already. He does well in the kennel; he may whine a little bit at first but settles down nicely. He also rides well in the car. Timon has had a lot of change in his life already and seems to lack some confidence. He can be timid in certain situations as he is unsure of some things. He may do best having another dog in the home. Timon has already come a long way as he was hesitant going down stairs but has already learned to go up and down with ease. He may also benefit from training classes to help build his confidence.
Timon is quiet and greets people nicely when they come over, no jumping. Timon is a young dog with no formal training but is overall well mannered for a young dog. He will be a quick learner as he is super food motivated. Timon hasn’t had the opportunity to learn what snuggling is yet, so we are working on that! When he gets on your lap or bed, he just wants to lick your face and can’t control that tongue! Timon shows interest in toys and bones but hasn’t quite figured them out yet, but given time, I’m sure he’ll learn what they are. He’s just a little guy, only weighing about 25 pounds, but could stand to gain a little. Timon is a very, very sweet dog that needs a stable home of his own so he can continue to grow and blossom and be given the opportunity to be the best dog he can be.
