Foster Home Feedback

        * NOT apartment-friendly; Older considerate children only

10/6/21: Timon is waiting to find his perfect family. He is a great size for any household. Not too big...not too small. He is dog and cat-friendly. He should be in a family with older children and should not live in an apartment because he will sometimes howl when left alone. Timon is great on car rides, he prefers to sit in the backseat and watch the cars go by. He is really easy to walk, he sticks to your side most of the time but always loves to sniff trees. He would benefit greatly in a home with another dog. He would love to have a playmate. He could be the only dog in the household but he will probably be lonely. Timon likes to try to play with my cat when I’m not home. He is a pretty timid dog overall. His favorite pastime is lounging on the couch, laying out in the sun, people watching and giving kisses.

Timon has really thrived since coming to my home. He has been a perfect housemate. He was such a nervous dog when I first met him and now he is definitely more confident. We have been boosting Timon's confidence with clicker training. He still has anxiety but is learning to cope with it. I do not currently kennel him when I’m gone but he will go in his kennel when told. He recently learned how to shake when asked, now we are trying to teach him to lay down. Timon will no doubt capture your heart!

10/4/21 Volunteer Feedback: Timon was at an event and was a little overwhelmed, but he did calm down and was able to interact with a few people!

8/22/21: Timon is the perfect addition to your home. Timon is good with cats and dogs and friendly with people (he should only be around older children). Timon is a nervous dog and will take some time to get used to you and your routines. He has been a perfect angel since I have taken him into my house. Having another dog in the house would benefit Timon greatly, so he can have another companion to teach him the ropes and build his confidence. Timon will be your shadow. He hasn’t been in a crate with me but I heard he is restless in them. We are working with Timon to realize that his crate is a safe spot. When I have to leave him home alone, he is great. He doesn’t get into anything he is not supposed to. He should not live in an apartment because he gets very anxious when he is home alone and will howl. Other than that I have never heard Timon bark. He is a very timid dog but has moments where he gets the zoomies (normally when he comes in after being outside). Timon does great on a leash and on car rides. His favorite thing to do is attack you with kisses!!
