**  Luke has been diagnosed with a heart murmur  and will require daily medication for life to manage it. This medication costs about $15 per month. Heart murmurs can be progressive and medications may need to be adjusted or changed in the future.

** Luke has been diagnosed with a grade 2 luxating patellas of both knees. This means it is possible for the kneecaps to move in and out of place. This is a common orthopedic issue in small breed dogs. At this time it is not painful and does not cause any trouble. Some dogs will live with a low-grade medial patellar luxation their entire life with no problems, however, in some dogs, it can be progressive and surgical intervention may become necessary.

Luke is looking for his forever home to be patient with him and give him lots of treats!

Foster Home Feedback

4/18/2022 Foster Feedback: This little boy was amazing at adoption days today! Luke is still a bit shy but he was so good! He is getting nicer and sweeter all of the time. Luke is kind, gentle, and patient. He's a very good boy and is potty trained. You barely know Luke is there because he just is a couch potato! If this sounds like your dream dog, apply today!

3/16/2022 Foster Feedback: This little boy has come a very long way in the past couple of weeks . Luke has become much more social. He's still not a snuggler but he likes to sit in a chair now and get a few pets. He is turning into such a nice little dog. Luke likes to play. He has been to the vet and had his dental done and he's ready to go anytime you need a new member for your family!

3/8/2022 Foster Feedback: Luke is a very nice dog. He's house trained and kennel trained. He is not a big snuggler, but after he learns to trust you he will sit in your lap and let you pet him. He has a Chihuahua attitude so he would not be good in an apartment because he does like to bark before he eats and when he goes outside. Luke loves to wander around out in the yard so a fenced yard would be a plus, but not a necessity. He also needs somebody who is going to have love and patience to show him. He would be good with a single person or a couple who are retired and would be around for him. Older children would be okay if they were very respectful. If you have love and time to give this boy, he would make a great member of your family!
