Yo-Yo is a sweet little puppy looking for a forever home to give her lots of love and treats!
Foster Home Feedback
** Needs a dog-buddy!
6/12/2022 Volunteer Feedback: Just look at 6 month old Yo-Yo sharing her bed with her cat sister and making her human brother laugh between doggie kisses!!
This beautiful pup is 99.9% housetrained, and is cat, kid, and dog friendly. That wasn’t the case when Yo-Yo came to the rescue as a stray 9 week old puppy in frigid February; very lucky to be alive. Needless to say, her early puppyhood didn’t lay a good foundation of socialization and she was frightened of people and just about everything else.
She has come a long way since then and is building more and more confidence with the help of her foster family and their pets! She is becoming more comfortable in new situations and with new people and has had training at Down Dog Studio. Her adopter does need to have another dog as this really helps a shy dog. Her adopter is also going to have to be patient as she transitions to a new home and commit to continue building her confidence. She is a happy playful pup at her foster home and will be the same in yours!
5/31/2022 Volunteer Feedback: I have had the pleasure of dogsitting Yo-Yo a few times when her foster parents were out of town. I love her white socks - knee highs in the front and ankle socks in the back! Her long greyhound looking tail is great! It's so fun to see her confidence grow with each visit. She is very timid at first but opens up immediately around another dog. It will take some patience to get to know her, but she is so worth it! Pretty soon she will be doing zoomies in your back yard.
4/8/2022 Foster Feedback: Yo-Yo is getting so big! She's about 45 lbs. now! She is doing really well with potty training. She has learned to sit and kennel! She sleeps in a hard-sided kennel and does well. She loves to play fetch! Yo-Yo has been learning to walk on a leash and does pretty well. She likes to follow behind our kids when they are on their bikes and scooters. She is now confident around our kids and loves them. She enjoys running and playing in our fenced yard with our dog. She will need an adopter who is patient with her in forming a connection. She can be unsure of new people but has done better recently when some folks have come over and we have taken her to Down Dog. She really likes string cheese! She will need a patient adopter who will be ready to put in the work to help her continue to build confidence in the world. She may growl/bark, and be scared at new things and people to start with. She did not have a lot of socialization during the critical periods as a little puppy. She acts like a normal, happy pup at our house because she is comfortable. She is a loveable girl.
3/25/2022 Foster Feedback: Yo-yo was unsocialized when she came to us. She has made huge strides in overcoming her fears. She is a sweet pup who likes to snuggle and be glued to your side. She loves other dogs and cats, but can play a little rough, but is not aggressive or mean and is getting better. She is doing well with potty training but does have some accidents. She does not pull on a leash but is nervous about new things. She doesn't love her kennel but sleeps in it at night with the door open and a playpen around her. She would rather snuggle in the bed. Yo-yo sleeps through the night. During the day, if she is in her kennel with the door closed, she does cry, but usually calms down. When she meets new people, she is nervous so people need to be patient (She did really well with the sitter while we were out of town). She is nervous with kids, but has gotten better with ours and has not been aggressive. She is mouthy, like a typical puppy. She can climb a baby gate and hop over. She's a lover and would love to find her people! She will make a great dog!
