Foster Home Feedback

4/30/2022 Foster Feedback: These two beautiful dogs in the prime of their life are up for adoption as a bonded pair, and they are indeed a great duo! Caen is a handsome 6-year-old 68 lb. shepherd mix and Rouen is a gorgeous 5-year-old husky mix weighing only 33 lbs. They are VERY well behaved...potty trained, kennel trained, great with everyone and everything. They have lived with two babies in the past and were very sweet and gentle. Cats are also very welcome around them, they just mind their own business. Caen and Rouen are good with other dogs, but prefer older dogs...puppy energy sometimes is a little much for them.

In the car, these two are a dream! They jump right in and ride nicely. Caen is convinced he should be in the front right next to you! Both dogs like stuffed toys and nylabones and Miss Rouen LOVES to play fetch! These two are just all-around well-adjusted dogs who are obedient and affectionate, love cuddles and pets, and are convinced that people were put on this earth to give them attention and love, which they will return right back to you!

Caen and Rouen truly are just wonderful, friendly dogs who are just about perfect...the only thing they have to work on is leashed walking, as their previous owner had them off-leash, so that is a work in progress. But they're VERY good listeners and come running when called so pretty sure it won't take long to learn not to pull. Hopefully, someone will soon be calling them into their new loving forever home!

4/16/2022 Foster Feedback: These 2 are the sweetest fosters I've ever had! They both are very gentle with kids and cats. They are potty trained and kennel trained but would be fine left out in the house together if they are the only dogs. They are both dog-friendly and will need slow, proper introductions. Rouen is a diva and can be sassy at times. She loves her cuddles and likes to be the only dog on your lap. At their previous home, they had their food set out and were able to free-feed throughout the day. I have other dogs in the home, so they now are being fed twice a day. With the other dogs in the house, Caen has been protective of food and treats, so if their new home has other dogs, they will need to be kept separate around food.

**  Rouen is Lyme positive.  This is a tick-borne illness, and s/he is currently being treated with Doxycycline.
