Foster Home Feedback

5/10/2022 Foster Feedback: Young Jerda has had a tough start in life. She was a homeless stray puppy who had a litter herself before she was a year old. Somehow she was separated from her pups when captured. When she arrived at 4 Luv she had painful mastitis and was so sad her pups were gone. Add in being spayed and spending a couple of days at the e-vet with pneumonia…it has been a traumatic six weeks!

But life is better now! Jerda is healthy and enjoying a pretty posh life with us. Jerda does well with our other foster dog and is very submissive. We go for 3 long walks a day and when we come home she claims a dog bed and relaxes or naps. She hasn’t chewed anything, has no potty accidents, loves to lounge in the backyard now that it’s nice, is polite meeting neighbors and strangers on walks, rides nicely, and waits quietly if I leave her in the car running errands. She sleeps quietly in a dog bed in our bedroom. Easy peasy pup!

About the only thing we are working on is not getting too excited when playing outside as every once in a while she will nip a bit like older puppies sometimes do. She is smart and she will learn.

5/7/2022 Foster Feedback: When Jerda came to our house she was pretty sick. Even so, she just wanted to be loved. She never had any accidents even when feeling so poorly-throwing up wasn’t her fault! Once well she started acting like the puppy she is. She was very house shy but willing to learn what everything was (stairs, doors, cooking, fenced yards) she’s working on sit and down and got them pretty fast-with a training session you’ll have a great dog. She loves car rides, walks, and any kind of food. She walks well on a leash but is a bird dog at heart so likes to chase them. Take a chance on this diamond in the rough.

4/3/2022 Volunteer Feedback: I had the pleasure to walk Jerda this morning!  She is a fantastic loose leash walker who loves to to soak in the new sights.  Jerda has a gentle temperament and is such a good girl!
