* Older considerate children only
* Viggo needs to go to a home with another dog – he needs a dog buddy to help him feel comfortable and confident!
2/16/2023 Foster Feedback: Viggo is doing so well meeting with new people and walking on a leash. He is still a bit overwhelmed with the world outside of his house and yard, but he is walking a little more every day with his dog buddy. Not a fan of puddles though, he would rather jump through the snow and still bites at his leash now and again. But he has come leaps and bounds. This guy is so great. He is becoming a more confident dog every day. He is sweet, smart and routinely makes us laugh!
12/29/2022 Foster Feedback: Viggo had a good first Christmas. He was VERY grateful for his presents! He even got his own stocking! He has been loving all the snow we have gotten, and playing hard with his foster siblings!
We have been working on getting his harness on and off without him getting skittish. He is an odd duck, he will let me put my coat on him, roll him up in blankets, and pick up both of his back feet. He loves all that stuff but still shies away from the harness sometimes. He does get more relaxed every day.
Viggo had company over for Christmas. Lots of new faces. He does initially bark at people, the taller they are, the more he seems to bark, but he comes right up for some petting and kisses after giving everyone a once-over boop. He's a big fan of booping people. Overall he was pretty amazing. Everyone commented on how nice he was, and how handsome he is.
Viggo is a floppy, lovable ding dong who loves belly rubs. He is good-natured and funny. Just a good boy all around!
12/1/2022 Foster Feedback: It's Viggo! This boy came to us in April very scared of the world. He took about a week to decompress alone in his kennel, but after he did, he really made himself at home pretty quickly. his new home will need to have some patience, and definitely a dog friend to help him be more confident. We have fostered 2 other puppies while fostering Viggo and he has loved them both. He would probably do better with older children, as he does get scared when there is too much action or noise going on, unless, of course, he is the one causing all the commotion. But I assure you, he really warms up and will make you laugh all day.
Viggo is a happy, smart, and handsome boy. Viggo loves treats and will do just about anything to earn one. He knows his basic commands like touch, sit, down, and kennel, but also knows how to spin and shake. He may shake your hand whenever you put it out for any reason, or when he first meets you. He is crate trained and sleeps on the bed or in his bed on the floor since he outgrew his little kennel we kept in the bedroom. He loves playing with his foster siblings, and any other temporary sibling that may come and stay for a while. He also loves playing with his people. He loves it when you chase him around the yard or throw all of the toys you can find at him. He makes the craziest noises when he gets excited, it's hilarious. He is a funny, floppy, ding dong of a dog that has brought us a lot of joy since we have had him. Watching him go from scared stiff to a dog that comes to you for boops and full body rubs has been quite the amazing journey. Please give this awesome boy a chance, he is well worth it!
He does have a few things that still make him skittish, but he is never upset, he just shies away. He is easily pacified though.
5/5/2022 Foster Feedback: Viggo came to us from a rough first few weeks of his life. He was very scared for the first week but eventually decompressed and began to act like a puppy. He is more trusting every day. He REALLY loves playing with our dogs. He is very food motivated and knows how to sit for treats and is very gentle when you hand him one. Though Viggo occasionally has an accident, he is doing extremely well with his potty training. He likes head scratches and giving us nose boops. His kennel training is going great as well. Viggo puts himself to bed in his kennel at night. He has a little separation anxiety if the other dogs aren't around, but he calms down after a few minutes. He is a good, playful boy and would make an excellent companion, especially with dog pals.
