2/28/24 Foster Feedback: Confetti has been in rescue for over 500 days and is still patiently waiting for her forever family to find her.  She is a wonderful companion and would make a great sport dog. 

Confetti has played a part in shaping several puppies in the rescue! We often puppy-sit and sometimes take in a puppy to foster. Confetti is fantastic with the puppies, playing with them and helping to teach them the dog ropes. 

She would welcome the opportunity to show you how much love and devotion she can offer.  We love Confetti so much and hope the right person comes along soon and gives this sweet girl a chance.

Fun Facts About Confetti:

-Loves car rides, belly rubs, snuggles and her snuffle mat

-Loves to swim, would make a good dock jumper

-Loves birds…would love to chase them. Also, not scared of fireworks and looks good in the color orange! 

-Playful, prancy and agile…would be fantastic with agility

-SMART, oh so willing to please and very food motivated

Confetti absolutely loves her people and plans to spend her life trying to make them happy, and play fetch, of course! In addition to being a loose leash pro, this brilliant beauty knows almost 20 different cues! At just under 40 lbs. Confetti can happily show how affectionate she is by snuggling with you in the recliner and offering her loving licks.

Confetti has been working so hard on her reactivity and separation anxiety and making immense progress! She has been meeting new people and dogs at the meet and greets all over town. Going to these events has become one of the favorites for this joyful 2-year-old. She would love to show you how much she has learned; her future is so bright!

8/28/23 Foster Feedback: Confetti has a big announcement! In September, she will be in rescue for 1 year! She is planning something fun to share about all her achievements during that amazing year!

4/12/23 Foster Feedback: Confetti thought it was time to let her future family know what she’s been up to. We are so proud of how well she has done with sharing toys! She loves playing with her small foster brother and is pretty good with being gentle with his little self, even though she has a lot of spunk! They trot around the house, each with an end of the same toy in their mouths. Confetti had a spa day including a bath, nail trim, and ear cleaning. She was easily entertained by a lick mat, which made making her beautiful a lot easier! Confetti loves to go for car rides and doesn’t try to bolt when the doors are open. 

We have been steadily practicing daily kennel naps where Confetti can enjoy a stuffed bone or Kong and settle in for some quiet time, she does well with being in her kennel for a couple of hours at a time. Throughout the day we carve out 10-20 minutes a few times a day to play, practice manners, and/or go for walks. We really love having this endearing, happy honey with us.

3/7/23 Foster Feedback: Confetti has been working so hard and has learned so much while attending classes at Down Dog Studio and practicing at home with her foster mom. The cues she regularly knows are: touch, sit, down, wait, leave it, place (bed), kennel, come, off, up, bring it, drop, spin and Confetti has good loose leash walking manners. 

This sweet pup is affectionate with her people. We have developed a strong bond training together and she prefers to spend her time with her foster mom, however, she finds opportunities to play with her human foster brother and cuddle her foster dad. One evening, her human foster sister was crying (sibling squabbles) and Confetti gently found the best angle to lick her tears and insert herself into sister's lap for snuggles. The tears stopped because who can cry through that comforting preciousness?! Confetti is a very playful pup! Her favorites haven't changed, and she still finds joy and exercise playing fetch both inside and outside. She was prancing around the other day switching gaits like a fancy show horse. Confetti loves to learn and work and is extremely food motivated. She even prefers working over fetch, so she really does well when she's engaged and learning.  

Confetti's perfect match will find her and when they do, it will be someone who has lots of love and belly rubs to give. Someone who can offer time and patience to help her build confidence in anxious situations and set her up to succeed. A family who is home more often than not and has a large area for her to run and play. Confetti would enjoy and benefit from having a canine fur sibling who would reciprocate play. 1/8/23 Foster Feedback: Sweet Confetti came to the rescue from the pound in September 2022. This little lady loves to play with toys, especially balls and fetch! She even tosses them around and plays by herself. Her favorites are the glitter baby shark.

When she is happy and excited, she prances around and has a great time playing with my mini dachshund. Confetti has a lot of energy! She likes being outside, even in the cold. She is wonderful with the kids, they chase her around, and that’s what she likes. She has been cautious, but friendly meeting a few new people. To keep Confetti engaged we’ve been learning new tricks, playing double ball fetch, puzzle feeders, exploring the yard and learning how to be comfortable and confident being left alone. She sleeps quietly in her kennel all night.

Confetti would do best in a home where her people are home more often than not and have dedicated time and patience to offer her in learning healthy ways to cope with her anxiety. 
Confetti is petite, smaller than she looks in pictures and her fur is silky soft. She has the most adorable, speckled socks and is a fantastic cuddler. The kisses she offers show the love she has, and they are not slobbery at all! 

I’m looking forward to helping her continue to grow in confidence and knowledge so she can be her best pup and make the perfect family pet! 

11/17/22 Foster Feedback: Confetti is still looking for her forever home. She is still a spunky gal who loves to move, run, and play! She spends quite a bit of time running around in our backyard trying to catch all of the birds and squirrels. She is fantastic at fetch and loves to run around and play with our kids. 

Even though Confetti has a tough time when she first meets new dogs, she really enjoys having a dog buddy! I can tell she misses our last foster as they’d play for hours. She gets along just fine with the resident dog but he doesn’t play nearly enough for her liking. She is super lovable and sweet! She does get a bit nervous meeting new people - especially men. She just needs a few extra minutes to sniff them out. So some time and patience is needed. She quickly became BFF’s with my husband. 

She is just so cute and sweet! We hope she finds her forever family soon! I can see her being a great road trip dog, going on hikes, jumping in the river, etc. I hope she finds a person to match her fun personality! 

10/13/22 Foster Feedback: Confetti is a loving dog who enjoys chomping toys, cuddling on laps, and giving kisses. She loves my kids and is always down for a game of hide and seek. I’m able to leave her unattended for about 10 minutes without her getting into mischief but haven’t had the courage to try any longer than that. Confetti sleeps well through the night. She has woken me up twice to go outside and use the bathroom but generally sleeps through the night. She is potty trained but for some reason enjoys peeing on our porch instead of going all the way outside. We are working on that! 

We have another foster and our own dog and she gets along with them beautifully. She has some spunk and can play for hours with another playful dog. However, intros need to be done slowly during initial meets. We can help you with that if you have another dog. 

Confetti is a good girl and would love to meet you! 

9/19/22 Volunteer Feedback: Confetti is a gorgeous girl who loves to love on others! Within seconds of meeting her, she was kissing me all over! She walks beautifully on a leash and follows directional cues wonderfully. Her basic commands, such as sit, are a work in progress, but a patient owner would get these commands mastered in no time. She loves her tennis ball and returns it back with the command “drop it.” Relaxing in a shaded spot is her idea of a good time! She enjoys playing “find it” with treats and lounging around in the presence of humans. Her small head fits perfectly in hands and she loves to receive scratches near her ears! This beauty would love an owner who can still around at her pace and take in the views and scents with her.
