Foster Home Feedback

1/21/2023 Foster Feedback: This handsome guy is Kodiak and he’s a two-year old possibly Rottweiler mix who is super duper people, kid and dog friendly. He LOVE LOVE LOVES playing with other dogs and running around the backyard chasing bunnies...loves being outdoors in any weather. When Kodiak is in the house he's calm, quiet, gentle and polite. He doesn't chew, doesn't get into things, 100 percent house trained and stays off furniture until invited up...so trustworthy his fosters don't even kennel when they are gone. Kodiak is a dog that could fit into just about any family or home. He is affectionate and loves being with his people. He'd love to have a doggy sibling and a fenced yard, but could also do well as an only pet if you are active and provide regular exercise and playtime. Hard to believe this guy was abandoned...but the good news is that makes him available for you to adopt!

1/3/2023 Foster Feedback: Kodiak has been the best boy and houseguest for the last two weeks. He was in the Wahpeton doggie jail for living life on the street and was given parole for good behavior. While we do not know his background, I can tell you his story as it plays out today.

Kodiak came into my home on December 14th and has been one of my best fosters in the four years I have been fostering. This boy will make someone extremely happy, and someone with lots of love to give will make this boy a happy boy, as well. He loves everyone, including other dogs. He loves to play and has even gotten one of my resident grumps to play, which is a big deal in our house.

Over Christmas and New Year, he got to play with a former foster, and they were inseparable; they both loved to play outside even when it was below zero. Kodiak loves soft treats but is not a fan of bones or hard, crunchy treats. Because he is so good and does not chew, he has been left to roam when we are not home, and he does not use a kennel. He knows the commands sit and lay. He has excellent manners and will not jump up on furniture or the bed without being invited. During the night, he will sit next to the bed and let out a whine to let you know he wants permission to cuddle with you.

Kodiak loves to go outside, zoom around the yard chasing rabbits, and then come inside and cuddle with his humans on the couch. He is 100% potty trained and has had no accidents inside the house or marking behaviors.

We love this boy and hope he finds the perfect home with another furry friend to play with and a home with an active human to give him some great excursions and fun activities.

12/15/2022 Temporary Care Feedback: Kodiak had a kennel break at our house this week and we fell in love with him! He was kind to our kids, loved our dogs, was polite and waited to be invited on furniture, and is potty trained! Kodiak LOVES pets, treats, nap time, and play time! He is just a gem! Any family will be lucky to add him to their family!
