Foster Home Feedback

2/26/2023 Foster Feedback: Valley is an amazing dog that is just looking for trust and love. She is very wary of new things and people but warms up with yummy food and treats. She is potty trained 99% of the time. When it is cold I have to take her out and make sure she goes, otherwise she will try to sneak away and do it in the house.

She seems more fearful of men but is slowly starting to trust my husband. She hasn't shown any aggression with humans besides barking.  She is great with my dog Maggie and they play all the time. Valley would rather sleep and cuddle though.

Valley also does well with my 3 older cats and just ignores them even if they try to swipe at her. She also is very good with my 2 year old niece who likes to scream and run around my house with non stop energy.

Valley is a great listener and willing to learn (especially if there is food involved). I have taken her on a few walks and she doesn't pull too much until she senses we are heading home.
We do kennel her when we are away and she whines/ barks quite a bit and tries to get out. I usually try to give her a chew and that helps. At night she kennels nicely and doesn't whine once we put a blanket over the kennel. She does snore most nights but it isn't super loud.

Valley needs a person willing to be patient with her until she trusts them and then she will be a forever velcro dog who will give nothing but love.
