Foster Home Feedback
5/7/23 Foster Feedback: Rhysand is about 4 months old and a happy, spunky pup. He has been through quite a bit of medical issues in his young life, but he still loves everyone and everything! He enjoys running and playing with all of his foster brothers, big and small. He is very curious about the cat in the house, but has learned to give him some space. He does get lonely at night and cries in his kennel. He prefers to be with his humans as much as possible! He has been to a meet event and did well meeting lots and lots of people! He loves snuggles, playing and chew bones.
Rhysand is working very hard on getting potty trained and will need a family that can make sure he gets ample opportunities to go outside and go potty. He prefers to to potty outside vs in his kennel, but due to his age and prior GI issues/surgery, it is currently difficult for him to hold it for more than 4 hours at a time. This may improve with age and practice, but his new family should be prepared to be patient as he learns. Rhysand is very smart and learns new commands and routines quickly. He is very food motivated and loves to make his people happy! He is a very sweet boy that is looking for the perfect family that can love him just as he is!
* Rhysand tested positive for Parvovirus. Rhysand was treated for the disease and is making a wonderful recovery. Because there is a chance Rhysand could still be shedding the virus, he cannot be exposed to other puppies for 3 months. Caution should be taken with exposing Rhysand to adult healthy dogs too but the risk of an adult healthy dog contracting Parvo is very minimal. Absolutely no dog parks, human park, puppy school or pet stores for at least 3 months.
