8/10/2024 Foster Feedback: Joseph's journey with the rescue has been challenging, but we're thrilled that he's now ready to find his forever home! After arriving over a year ago in need of TPLO surgery on both back legs, Joe endured four surgeries and extensive recovery time. Now, his true personality is shining through. Joe is a happy, friendly, and playful dog who loves everyone he meets. However, due to his size and energy, he needs a home with people who can manage his physicality, and he isn't suited for a household with small children. Joe also enjoys the company of other dogs, though his enthusiasm might be too much for smaller ones. Continued training to help manage his energy is important, but he learns quickly and is eager to please. Joe walks well on a leash, is potty trained, and does well in a gated room with his foster siblings. He's a vocal dog, so a home without shared walls would be ideal. Above all, Joe's love language is affection—he thrives on being close to his people and loves to cuddle. After all he's been through, we're incredibly proud of Joe and can't wait for him to find the loving home he deserves.
