** Pestle has been diagnosed with a grade 1 heart murmur. Most murmurs in puppies are benign, which means they aren't harmful. They are soft, quiet murmurs called “innocent” or “physiologic” murmurs, and most will be outgrown by 6 months of age. It is recommended that you have this checked by the veterinarian at the wellness exam to see if it has resolved.

Puppies generally need the following veterinary care after their adoption:

8 Weeks: Distemper/Parvo & Bordetella Vaccinations. 4 Luv of Dog Rescue completes these vaccinations before adoption.

12 Weeks: Distemper/Parvo Vaccination completed at the veterinarian of adopter's choice.

16 Weeks: Distemper/Parvo & Rabies Vaccinations completed at the veterinarian of adopter's choice.

6 Months: Spay/Neuter surgery.  **

Yearly thereafter: All dogs need yearly wellness exams performed by a veterinarian as well as booster vaccinations.

**Spay/Neuter surgeries cost between $200-$400 for a neuter surgery and $400-$600 for a spay surgery in the FM Area. Wellness visits can run from $75 to $150 for each visit. If you are thinking of adopting a puppy, it's a good idea to research these costs before adopting by calling the veterinarian of your choice.

Foster Home Feedback

2/11/2024 Temporary Care Feedback: We pup-sat Pestle for a few days and what a fun puppy he is! He figured out our routine after a short transition and made himself right at home playing with the other 4 dogs and snuggling on the couch. He’s doing great with potty training and will make a fantastic furry family member!

12/28/2023 Foster Feedback: This silly boy plays so hard, sometimes he trips over his own clumsy feet! It doesn't stop Pestle from enjoying the game and chasing down the next good time!
