Foster Home Feedback

6/7/2025 Volunteer Feedback: It was my pleasure to escort handsome Forty to an adoption event at PetSmart last week. From the time I picked him up at his foster’s home, he was an absolute joy to hang with. He is one of the most relaxed and nonreactive dogs I have taken to an event ever!
Forty rides nicely in a vehicle and walks nicely on a leash. When other dogs barked, he stayed calm and quiet. He met all people (including kids) calmly and did not jump. Forty took treats nicely. Seriously, this 5-year-old husky mix was PERFECT.
His foster dad told me he doesn’t need to be kennelled and doesn’t care if their dog takes toys away from him. Forty is very dog-friendly.
I am bringing Forty to another event, Bark in the Park in West Fargo Tuesday evening 6/10. Please come and meet him!

5/12/25 Foster Feedback:

Forty continues to be an absolute joy and a wonderful house guest! We love him so much. He’s completely house-trained, doesn’t need to be kenneled, and is very respectful of baby gates when we put them up. Forty is  calm and polite when new people come over, never overly excited, and makes a great first impression.

Forty  enjoys walks and while he can pull a little at the beginning out of excitement, he quickly settles into a nice groove and walks well. He's very dog-friendly and mostly ignores other dogs unless they get really close, in which case he’d love to say hello.

Forty is also a big-time couch potato and just wants to relax and be near his people. His chill demeanor, combined with his great manners and friendly personality, makes him the perfect low-maintenance companion

3/30/25 Foster Feedback: Don’t tell our other 29 foster dogs, but Forty has been our favorite house guest! He’s a little scruffy but 100% good boy. He’s fully potty trained, has never had a single accident—and is totally trustworthy when left out overnight or while we’re away.

Forty is the perfect mix of laid-back and playful. He loves naps, belly scratches, and cuddles, but he’s always up for a good game of catch. He’s not much of a barker, but when he does speak up, his sweet, raspy hoarse bark will melt your heart.

We adore him and he’s welcome to stay with us as long as he needs, but this special boy deserves a forever family to spoil him like Forty deserves!
