12/20/25 Foster Feedback: Adopting Boxcar will turn your life upside down, in the very best way!

The moment Boxcar walks into your life, everything will shift. At just 10 months old, this Shepherd/Doberman mix is still discovering the world with boundless enthusiasm. Your once predictable routines will give way to joyful chaos. Your home will start to look different as toys are lovingly destroyed and scattered, and you will learn to slow down as you pick up pieces of stuffing from missions Boxcar clearly considers a success. You will rethink where things belong — shoes moved higher, pillows relocated, anything remotely chewable thoughtfully placed out of reach. Life will flip upside down as you learn to see your space through the eyes of a high-energy pup who believes everything exists purely for fun.
 
Boxcar won’t do anything halfway. He will be all in, all the time. He will run hard, play harder, and live with an enthusiasm and joy that turns ordinary days upside down. A few months ago, that same love of play earned him a fractured scapula from an overzealous game of ball, but thanks to surgery and great care, he has recovered beautifully and is back to doing what he loves most. Your schedule will shift as his energy demands attention — more time outside, more rounds of fetch than you planned, and plenty of moments where “just one more throw” turns into ten. In the middle of it all, the things that once felt urgent will matter a little less.
 
And then — when the house is quiet and you least expect it — Boxcar will flip everything again.
 
After the toys are picked up and the ball finally drops at your feet, he will settle in as close as he can possibly get. He will look up at you with those sweet brown eyes and insist on snuggles, turning chaos into calm. In those moments, the mess will fade away, your world will slow and re-focus, and everything will feel exactly as it should.
 
Boxcar will rearrange your home, your routine, and maybe a few of your expectations. But he will also turn your life upside down in the best way — filling it with laughter, movement, and a kind of love that will make you wonder how things ever felt right without him.

This sassy little firecracker is now 5 months old and full of puppy personality! He’s an active boy who’s always ready to play—whether it’s a game of chase with his dog friends or a round of fetch (he’s a champ at catching the ball mid-air!). He thrives with other playful pups and would love a home that matches his energy and spirit. If you're looking for a fun-loving companion with a bit of spunk and a whole lot of heart, this pup might be your perfect match!

Meet Boxcar an energetic bundle of mischief with a heart of gold. At just a few months old, he’s already mastered the art of mischief-making and isn’t afraid to show off his impressive vocal range—especially at night! Boxcar is still learning the ropes when it comes to house training and manners, but he brings boundless energy, enthusiasm, and a hilarious, headstrong personality to every day. He’s ideal for a dog owner who’s ready to take on a challenge and raise a strong-willed pup into a loyal companion. With patience, consistency, and a sense of humor, Boxcar will thrive.  He loves rough and tumble playtime with other dogs in the household.  He also lives with a cat that he sees as another companion to play with, so he would need tolerant cat friends and more lessons on feline boundaries.
