Foster Home Feedback

7/2/25 Foster Feedback: We have had Siri (aka Birdie) for a couple days now. Though she was understandably unsure of the change of scenery, one thing is for certain is that this sweet girl knows she loves people. She doesn't appear to always know the concept of personal space as she plops right on you to give you kisses when she is excited to meet/see you. Siri does know how to enjoy relaxing on a spot next to us on the couch after some play time and snuggles. She is also getting better at not trying to sit on my lap all the time while I'm working and use the doggie bed right next to my desk.

Siri is doing well with my 8- and 13-year-old kids with pets, walks, and playing. She is technically still a puppy, so we are learning to redirect with a toy if she tries to get mouthy with our hands. Her previous home had a fur sibling, so I think she is missing that kind of play. We just have an 18-year-old cat who is afraid of everything so no fur playmate for Siri here.

She is getting better with the kenneling with some encouragement of treats and gentle guidance. I don't know if she was previously kenneled, but each time gets better and better. We kennel fosters as a precaution for our cat’s safety. It does take Siri a few minutes to settle in, but she has been sleeping through the night, even the first night.

Our 4-foot fence that works for her, and  we have also used a tie out when the gate is open to do chores around the house. It suits her just fine.

Bonus: Siri is potty trained, does her business fairly quickly and there have been no accidents in the house.

She is treat motivated, smart and a quick learner. Siri is definitely a big love bug and would be a great sidekick to anyone wanting to add this sweet girl to their family!
