8/25/25 Foster Feedback: Walleye has been with us a week, and we are smitten! He’s sweet, cuddly, potty trained, crate trained, and gets along with dogs, cats, and kids. Truly an all-around great pup.
Now, full disclosure: Walleye does have a set of lungs on him. He’s not shy about letting you know his thoughts, whether it’s excitement, nerves, or just wanting attention. Because of this, he’d do best in a home that isn’t an apartment or townhouse—he’d love a place where he can be himself without worrying about thin walls.
He’s still a little anxious, which is understandable, but every day he relaxes more and more and shows us what a loyal, affectionate companion he’ll be.
If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts heart and personality, Walleye is your guy!
8/21/25 Foster Feedback: Meet Walleye!
We’ve only had Walleye a few days, but it’s already clear what a special dog he is. Even after returning to rescue through no fault of his own, he’s as sweet as pie and just wants to be near his people.
Walleye has been such an easy guest in our home — he’s potty trained, crate trained, and gets along wonderfully with our dogs, our cats, and even the kids. He’s gentle, polite, and happy to go with the flow, whether that’s hanging out for snuggles or tagging along with the pack.
He may be medium in size, but his heart is HUGE. It’s impossible not to fall for him. Walleye is the kind of dog who makes you feel lucky just to know him, and his forever family is going to feel that every single day.
10/10/2021: Walleye is slowly getting the hang of potty training and has come out of his shell so much! We’ve been working on the stairs and he is fairly confident in going up and down them. Walleye does well in his kennel at night and typically sleeps through the night. He loves playing with other dogs! Walleye is a sassy guy that loves to use his voice when playing & is also a great snuggle buddy! He is doing well and is looking forward to his new home!
