**  Blacklit Canopy has been diagnosed with a grade 2 heart murmur. Murmurs are graded by their intensity, usually on a scale of 1-6. A grade 2 heart murmur in dogs is a soft, low-grade murmur that is immediately audible to a veterinarian with a stethoscope, but only heard in a specific area of the heart.. At this time she is not clinical and does not require any medications. This should be monitored by her primary care veterinarian.

Blacklist Canopy has been diagnosed with some separation and barrier related anxieties. She requires daily medications to manage this. Currently she is taking;

Fluoxetine for about $25 a month, Trazodone $30 a month, and Gabapentin $35 a month, she is also on an over the counter probiotic daily.

7/19/26 Foster Feedback: Blacklit Canopy, called Hulu in her foster home, is a people oriented dog who thrives on being part of whatever her family is doing. She enjoys lake days, pontoon rides, and anything involving water, and she travels well in the car. Fetch isn’t her thing yet, but she loves carrying a water toy and exploring. She walks nicely overall, though she may pull or vocalize when she sees people or dogs she wants to greet, and her excitement is improving with practice.
Blacklit Canopy is on medication to help manage separation-related anxiety and would do best with someone who is home often. Her foster family works long weekday shifts, but she has learned their routine and now spends her days calmly watching out the picture window with the resident dog. Kenneling increases her stress, so she is left out in a safe space instead, which has helped her settle. Blacklit Canopy is potty trained, though she may have an accident if she’s feeling overwhelmed, something that typically improves as she feels secure.
Blacklit Canopy enjoys the evenings and weekends when her people are home, and we do not medicate her as much during that time. She sleeps in bed with her foster family and is an expert snuggler who loves staying close. Her greetings can be enthusiastic and a bit jumpy, but she’s learning calmer ways to show her excitement. Blacklit Canopy has been gentle and loving with children she’s met, offering soft kisses and warm affection.
She enjoys the company of other dogs and generally does well with them, though she can be a little overstimulated at first and benefits from slow introductions. Blacklit Canopy is a devoted, affectionate dog who wants to feel included, supported, and safe. She will thrive in a home that understands her need for closeness and can offer the steady routine she’s been practicing in foster care.

4/10/26 Foster Feedback: Blacklit Canopy--or as we call her, Hulu--is a very sweet, cuddly dog who stays close and pays attention to the people she trusts. She prefers having her humans at home and becomes worried when they’re gone. Kenneling has been difficult for her—she becomes highly stressed and has managed to break out—so we are exploring other options that help her feel secure.
When Blacklit Canopy is loose in the home during those anxious moments, she will move from door to door looking for us, and she has had a few potty accidents. She’s also clever enough to open doors. She takes a lot of comfort from our resident dog. She follows his lead throughout the house and goes outside to potty when he does, which helps her settle into a routine.
We are actively working on Blacklit Canopy's confidence, her independence, and her potty habits, and we will continue to update her progress as she adjusts.

3/28/26 Foster Feedback: This girl is very sweet and takes a minute to warm up to new people.  Blacklit Canopy had a doggie play date today and was friendly with all the pups and they made her feel more confident.  She just got to my home as a foster so more to come as she blossoms.
