Foster Home Feedback

Foster Feedback 7/26/26: This sweet little guy is a huge snuggler who loves being close to his people and especially other dogs. He would thrive in a home with another friendly dog who enjoys cuddling and playing, as canine companionship is one of his favorite things. He's also becoming more playful with his foster family every day and absolutely loves giving kisses.

He's still working on house training. At this time, he wears a belly band indoors because he does mark. The marking is decreasing with time and now that he is neutered this should continue to improve. With a consistent routine, patience, and positive reinforcement, I believe he'll become potty trained.

He has been incredibly gentle and cooperative during nail trims, baths, and vaccinations, making grooming and veterinary visits very easy.

He is a big fan of people food and has no concept of personal boundaries when you're eating or drinking. He's currently learning polite manners around mealtime.

He's a timid boy who can be randomly startled by things or fearful with new experiences like riding in a car. When he's scared, he may bark, but it hasn't been excessive. He'll do best with a patient adopter who can continue helping him build confidence and learnthat the world isn't such a scary place.

He has been very vocal when left alone. When I checked my camera over a three-hour period, he spent much of the time whining, crying, or barking. For that reason, I don't think a home with shared walls, such as an apartment or condo, would be the best fit while he continues working through his separation concerns.

He's happiest curled up in a dog bed or snoozing on my lap while I work from home. He truly loves being near his people.

When interacting with other dogs, he loves to play and cuddle, but he's still learning to respect when another dog is finished playing, grooming, or snuggling. We currently step in and give everyone breaks to prevent conflicts, and he's making progress.

He's also adjusting to eating dog food and is more enthusiastic about meals when a small amount of peanut butter is mixed in. He’s still getting used to wearing a collar as well.

Overall, he's a loving, gentle little companion looking for a patient family that will help him continue building confidence. In return, you'll have a loyal lap dog who adores giving kisses, cuddling with his people, and playing with his canine friends.
