Foster Home Feedback
3/8/26 Foster Feedback: After one week with us, Roo is making great progress and his personality is shining through! He shows a more independent personality compared to his littermate. He appears to be very smart and is already beginning to pick up the “sit” command, which shows he is responding well to early training.
Crate training has been improving each night. Roo has started going into the kennel on his own at bedtime, and there have been three nights with no whining when the crate is initially covered and closed. It seems that when he does wake during the night, it may be because his more vocal littermate starts crying. Overall, the stretches of sleep are getting longer each night, indicating that Roo is quickly adapting to the routine.
Roo is also making great progress with potty training. He willingly goes outside multiple times a day and is having fewer accidents in the house. He also picked up on using potty pads very quickly for times when he can’t make it outside in time.
Personality-wise, Roo enjoys cuddling but is also comfortable spending time independently. He seems to have a nice balance of affection and confidence for his age. He is a very happy, curious boy who will make a wonderful companion!

3/3/2026 Foster Feedback: Meet Roo – Our Sweet & Playful Boy!
Roo has been with us for three days and is already showing what a sweet, fun-loving puppy he is! He’s very affectionate and enjoys being close to his people. After playtime, he’s happy to soak up attention and cuddles.
He’s playful and curious, engaging well with toys and exploring his surroundings like a typical confident puppy. Roo also seems smart and is already picking up on routines.
Potty training is off to a great start. He’s learning to use puppy pads and is catching on quickly to going outside. He now heads out with the other dogs without needing to be carried.
We’re working on crate training, and while he’s still adjusting, he seems less anxious with separation than his littermate. With consistency and routine, he should continue to build confidence.
Roo has done great meeting our resident dogs, another older foster puppy, and both adult and child visitors. He’s handled new experiences well and appears social and adaptable.
As a typical 8-week-old puppy, he will need continued structure, routine, and training to help him grow into a well-mannered adult. Based on his size and build, he will likely be a large dog when full grown.
Overall, Roo is a smart, affectionate, playful puppy who is off to a wonderful start and will make a fantastic companion.
